Industrial Steam Turbines for the UK & Europe
As one of the world’s leading steam turbine manufacturers, we deliver high-performance industrial steam turbines up to 100 MW and full aftermarket support across the UK and Europe, backed by local engineering and commercial expertise from our London office
Powering the UK's Critical Industries
Whether you need reliable captive power for a data centre in London, steam for a sugar mill in the Midlands, or a high-speed turbine for a refinery in Scotland, we provide the engineering expertise to keep your plant running at peak efficiency. It is why operators compare steam turbine manufacturer on more than the price of the unit: over a 25-year asset life, the specification decision is the smaller half of the cost.
Reliability
Minimise downtime with robust turbine design, conservative rotor-dynamic margins, and spare parts held to original manufacturing tolerances. Unlike steam turbine manufacturers who assemble bought-in components, we machine ours in-house, so nothing critical to your availability depends on a fragmented supply chain.
Efficiency
Extract maximum power from waste heat, biomass, or process steam. Every unit is engineered to order around your actual pressure and flow conditions, rather than forcing a standard frame size onto a non-standard process.
Local Support
Our London-based sales and service team gives UK and European operators a local point of contact, in your time zone, working to the codes and commercial practices your engineering and procurement teams already use.
FIVE DECADES IN FIVE MILESTONES
Designed & built steam turbines for the Indian Navy — a first made in India.
JV with General Electric for turbines in the 30–100 MWe range.
Second manufacturing facility commissioned at Sompura, near Bengaluru.
Acquired 70% stake in TSE Engineering, South Africa — expanding aftermarket reach.
Engineered Steam Turbines for the UK Market
We specialise in high-efficiency industrial steam turbines designed for severe duty, complying with international and UK standards. As steam turbine generator manufacturers with in-house design, blade machining and testing, every unit is built to order, not selected from a catalogue of fixed frame sizes.
SUB-30 MWE STEAM TURBINES
Ideal for decentralised power, biomass, and sugar cogeneration. Backpressure and condensing configurations sized to match process steam demand while generating usable electricity from the same fuel.
UP TO 100 MW STEAM TURBINES
Large-scale power generation and heavy industrial drives, including multi-stage condensing units for waste-to-energy, district heating and independent power projects across Europe. Few steam turbine generator manufacturers cover this full span from a single engineering base.
API 611/612 COMPLIANT TURBINES
Specifically engineered for the oil & gas, petrochemical and refinery sectors, from 5 kW mechanical drives to 100 MWe generator sets, with the documentation and testing regime those projects demand.
GEARED & MULTI-STAGE TURBINES
Customised high-speed designs validated in our high-speed balancing vacuum tunnel, alongside SMART pressure-reducing turbines that replace a PRDS station and recover the energy it would otherwise throttle away.
CLOSING LINE (NEW)
If you are shortlisting steam turbine manufacturers for a UK or European project, our engineering team will size the machine around your steam conditions before you commit to a specification.

Products
Industrial Steam Turbines
Backpressure and Condensing type steam turbine generators built for combined heat and power (CHP), as well as standalone power generation. These are the workhorse of our product line, chosen by plant operators who need a steam turbine for power plant applications ranging from a few MW up to 100 MWe, with the flexibility to match specific pressure and flow requirements at the design stage rather than forcing a standard unit onto a non-standard process.
API Turbines
API steam turbine manufacturers are a small, specialized group, building to API 611 and 612 means meeting some of the most demanding mechanical, testing, and documentation standards in the industry. Our API-compliant turbines range from 5 kW up to 100 MWe in Backpressure and Condensing types, purpose-built for chemicals, petrochemicals, petroleum refineries, and fertilizer plants. Our API-compliant products are prequalified with globally reputed National Oil Companies, OEMs, and EPC/PMC companies, which shortens the qualification cycle for customers who already work within those approved vendor lists.

CO2 Heat Pumps
CO2 heat pumps offer a cleaner, more efficient way to deliver heating and hot water. Using natural carbon dioxide (R744) as the refrigerant, they have a Global Warming Potential (GWP) of just 1 and zero ozone depletion, making them one of the most environmentally responsible technologies available today. Thanks to their transcritical operating cycle, CO2 heat pumps can produce hot water at up to 90°C and keep performing reliably even in very cold conditions, making them ideal for hotels, hospitals, commercial kitchens, residential complexes and industrial processes. At TTL, we cover the complete lifecycle of your system: we manufacture, supply, install and refurbish CO2 heat pumps, so you get one trusted partner from initial design to long-term performance. Whether you’re investing in a new installation or extending the life of an existing unit, TTL helps you cut energy costs, reduce carbon emissions, and meet your sustainability goals with confidence.
We Understand Your Industry
Our turbines are purpose-built for the specific demands of UK and European industry, each sector with its own steam conditions, duty cycle and compliance expectations.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. We supply industrial steam turbines up to 100 MW across the UK and Europe, with sales, engineering and service support coordinated from our London office. Manufacturing takes place at our facilities near Bengaluru, India.
Our range spans 5 kW API-compliant mechanical drive units up to 100 MWe backpressure and condensing steam turbine generators, covering small process applications through to large-scale power generation.
Depth of in-house manufacturing. Among steam turbine manufacturers in the sub-100 MW segment, most outsource at least part of the flow path. We design, machine, balance and test in our own facilities, which is what allows us to hold tolerances on new build and on refurbishment of machines we did not originally supply.
Yes. We are turbine blade manufacturers as well as turbine builders. Blade profiling, rotor assembly and high-speed balancing are all carried out in-house, so replacement blading matches the original specification rather than a reverse-engineered approximation.
Yes. Through Triveni REFURB, our multi-brand refurbishment service, we repair, refurbish and upgrade rotating equipment regardless of the original manufacturer or the age of the machine. Unlike independent steam turbine maintenance companies, we bring OEM-level manufacturing capability to that work.
Our turbines are engineered to API 611/612, ASME, AGMA, NEMA and IEC standards. Our manufacturing operations are certified to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018.
Global Engineering. Local Commitment
Triveni Turbines is the second-largest global manufacturer of industrial steam turbines under 100 MW, holding over 20% of the global market share. Our footprint spans more than 80 countries, and our manufacturing is concentrated in two facilities near Bengaluru, India, including the IGBC Platinum-rated Sompura plant commissioned in 2017.
Vertical integration is what separates us from most steam turbine manufacturers in this segment. Very few turbine manufacturers are also turbine blade manufacturers: we machine blades, rotors and casings under our own roof, and validate every unit in a high-speed balancing vacuum tunnel before it leaves the plant. That gives you traceability on the equipment you invest in, down to the mill certificate on the forging that became your rotor.
For UK and European buyers, the honest comparison is this: you are choosing between global OEMs headquartered in Europe or Japan and a manufacturer that meets the same engineering standards from a purpose-built, high-volume production base, with the cost and lead-time advantages that come with it, and a London team accountable for the relationship.
Our REFURB programme and our commitment to the circular economy mean the asset you buy is designed to be maintained, upgraded and life-extended rather than replaced.
