Powering Germany's Critical Industries with Steam Turbines

Whether you need reliable captive power for a data centre in Frankfurt, steam for a biomass plant in Bavaria, or a high-speed turbine for a refinery in northern Germany, we provide the engineering expertise to run your plant at peak efficiency. Over a 25-year asset life, it is not the purchase price of an industrial steam turbine that decides the outcome, it is its availability.

Reliability

Minimise downtime through robust turbine design, conservative rotor-dynamic margins, and spare parts held to original manufacturing tolerances. We machine the critical components of our steam turbines ourselves, so your availability does not depend on a fragmented supply chain.

Efficiency

Extract maximum energy from waste heat, biomass, or process steam. Every industrial steam turbine is engineered around your actual pressure and mass flow conditions, rather than forcing a standard frame size onto a non-standard process.

Local Support

Our Berlin-based sales and service team ensures rapid response times for Germany and Europe, in your time zone, and working to the standards and procurement practices your engineering and purchasing teams already use.

Steam Turbines Engineered for the German Market

We specialise in high-efficiency industrial steam turbines built for severe duty and compliant with international and German standards. Every steam turbine is engineered to order, not selected from a catalogue of fixed frame sizes.

SUB-30 MWE STEAM TURBINES

Ideal for decentralised power, biomass, and sugar cogeneration. Backpressure and condensing steam turbines sized to match process steam demand while generating usable electricity from the same fuel.

UP TO 100 MW STEAM TURBINES

Large-scale power generation and heavy industrial drives, including multi-stage condensing steam turbines for waste-to-energy, district heating and independent power projects across Europe.

API 611/612 COMPLIANT TURBINES

Specifically engineered for the oil & gas, petrochemical and refinery sectors, from 5 kW mechanical drives to 100 MWe generator sets. Every industrial steam turbine is built to the documentation and testing regime those projects demand.

GEARED & MULTI-STAGE TURBINES

Customised high-speed designs validated in our high-speed balancing vacuum tunnel, alongside SMART pressure-reducing turbines that replace a PRDS station and recover the energy it would otherwise throttle away.

LONG-TERM SUPPORT

More Than a Manufacturer. Your Long-Term Partner

The life of a steam turbine does not end at commissioning, and neither does our responsibility. Compared with independent maintenance providers, our advantage is simple: we manufacture the original components, so we know exactly what we are repairing.

01

REFURB (REFURBISHMENT)

Extend the life of your steam turbine with our multi-brand refurbishment capability. We restore OEM performance and adapt the steam flow path to your current process conditions, whichever manufacturer’s name is on the nameplate.

02

AFTERMARKET SUPPORT

24/7 technical support, genuine spare parts, and on-site field service. Because we manufacture blades, rotors and casings ourselves, our spares match day-one tolerances rather than being reverse-engineered from a worn component.

03

LONG-TERM SERVICE AGREEMENTS (LTSA)

Predictable costs. Coordinated outage planning. Guaranteed parts availability. An LTSA turns industrial steam turbine maintenance from an unbudgeted risk into a fixed line in your operating plan.

Products

Industrial Steam Turbines

Backpressure and Condensing type steam turbine generators built for combined heat and power (CHP), as well as standalone power generation. These are the workhorse of our product line, chosen by plant operators who need a steam turbine for power plant applications ranging from a few MW up to 100 MWe, with the flexibility to match specific pressure and flow requirements at the design stage rather than forcing a standard unit onto a non-standard process.

API Turbines

API steam turbine manufacturers are a small, specialized group, building to API 611 and 612 means meeting some of the most demanding mechanical, testing, and documentation standards in the industry. Our API-compliant turbines range from 5 kW up to 100 MWe in Backpressure and Condensing types, purpose-built for chemicals, petrochemicals, petroleum refineries, and fertilizer plants. Our API-compliant products are prequalified with globally reputed National Oil Companies, OEMs, and EPC/PMC companies, which shortens the qualification cycle for customers who already work within those approved vendor lists.

CO2 Heat Pumps

CO2 heat pumps offer a cleaner, more efficient way to deliver heating and hot water. Using natural carbon dioxide (R744) as the refrigerant, they have a Global Warming Potential (GWP) of just 1 and zero ozone depletion, making them one of the most environmentally responsible technologies available today. Thanks to their transcritical operating cycle, CO2 heat pumps can produce hot water at up to 90°C and keep performing reliably even in very cold conditions, making them ideal for hotels, hospitals, commercial kitchens, residential complexes and industrial processes. At TTL, we cover the complete lifecycle of your system: we manufacture, supply, install and refurbish CO2 heat pumps, so you get one trusted partner from initial design to long-term performance. Whether you’re investing in a new installation or extending the life of an existing unit, TTL helps you cut energy costs, reduce carbon emissions, and meet your sustainability goals with confidence.

Steam Turbine Solutions Built Around Your Industry

A steam turbine for a waste-to-energy plant and a steam turbine for a sugar mill share the same basic physics and almost nothing else, different steam conditions, different duty cycles, different compliance obligations. Rather than fit your process to a standard frame size, we engineer the turbine, generator and control philosophy around how your plant actually runs.

BIOMASS POWER PLANTS

Biomass and wood-waste plants across Bavaria, Lower Saxony and beyond run on variable-quality fuel and fluctuating steam conditions. Our biomass steam turbines are engineered as backpressure or condensing units matched to your boiler's actual pressure and mass flow, so the plant keeps generating reliable output even as fuel quality shifts through the season. Where a plant already has an ageing turbine from another manufacturer, our REFURB programme can restore performance or re-rate the machine to a revised steam balance.

WASTE-TO-ENERGY (WTE) TURBINES

Waste-to-energy and municipal solid waste plants demand steam turbines that can handle corrosive, fluctuating steam conditions over long, continuous duty cycles without unplanned outages. Our multi-stage condensing steam turbines for waste-to-energy applications are engineered for exactly this kind of severe service, with the metallurgy and blade design to match. For operators expanding or upgrading an existing waste-to-energy line, our engineers can also assess an installed turbine, of any make, for efficiency uprates.

CHP AND COGENERATION (COMBINED HEAT AND POWER)

For industrial sites and municipal utilities running combined heat and power, the value of a steam turbine lies in extracting maximum electrical output from the same fuel that already produces process steam or district heat. Our backpressure and extraction-condensing steam turbines for CHP and cogeneration are sized so that heat delivery to the process or the district heating network is never compromised for the sake of power output, the two are balanced by design, not by compromise.

DATA CENTRE AND CAPTIVE POWER

As data centre capacity expands across Frankfurt, Berlin and other German hubs, grid connection timelines and power security have become as important as compute capacity itself. A captive steam turbine generation solution, run on waste heat recovery, gas, or biomass-fired boilers, gives data centre operators and industrial campuses a source of dispatchable, on-site power that does not depend solely on grid allocation. We size these systems to the site's actual load profile rather than a standard product range.

We Understand Your Industry

Our steam turbines are purpose-built for the specific demands of German and European industry, each sector with its own steam conditions, duty cycles and compliance obligations.

Test

Triveni Turbines is the second-largest global manufacturer of industrial steam turbines under 100 MW, holding over 20% of the global market share. Our footprint spans more than 80 countries, and manufacturing is concentrated in two plants near Bengaluru, India, including the IGBC Platinum-rated Sompura facility commissioned in 2017.

With more than five decades of experience, over 6,000 steam turbine installations worldwide and more than 16,000 MWe of installed generating capacity, we bring proven, engineered-to-order technology to every industrial steam turbine project, not a scaled-down version of it.

The difference is depth of manufacturing. Very few suppliers of steam turbines in this power range machine blades, rotors and casings in-house and balance every machine in their own high-speed vacuum tunnel before dispatch. For you, that means complete traceability, down to the mill certificate on the forging that became your rotor.

For buyers in Germany and Europe, the honest comparison is this: you are choosing between global OEMs headquartered in Europe or Japan and a manufacturer that meets the same engineering standards from a purpose-built, high-volume production base, with the cost and lead-time advantages that brings, and a Berlin team accountable for the relationship.

Our REFURB programme and our commitment to the circular economy mean the asset you buy is designed to be maintained, upgraded and life-extended rather than replaced.

Global Engineering. Local Commitment

Triveni Turbines is the second-largest global manufacturer of industrial steam turbines under 100 MW, holding over 20% of the global market share. Vertical integration is what separates us from most steam turbine manufacturers in this segment. Very few turbine manufacturers are also turbine blade manufacturers: we machine blades, rotors and casings under our own roof, and validate every unit in a high-speed balancing vacuum tunnel before it leaves the plant. That gives you traceability on the equipment you invest in, down to the mill certificate on the forging that became your rotor.

For UK and European buyers, the honest comparison is this: you are choosing between global OEMs headquartered in Europe or Japan and a manufacturer that meets the same engineering standards from a purpose-built, high-volume production base, with the cost and lead-time advantages that come with it, and a London team accountable for the relationship.
