At Triveni Turbine Limited, environmental sustainability is more than a responsibility; it is an opportunity to shape the future of energy. It underlines our commitment to being a catalyst in the transition of industries towards cleaner and more efficient systems. We design advanced solutions that help customers improve energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions. Today, nearly 80% of our business is aligned with non-fossil fuel and renewable energy sectors, reflecting our commitment to a greener future.

Commitment to climate action

Our total energy consumption from renewable sources stood at 6,098.93 GJ (equivalent to ~0.19 MW average load) in FY 26, leading to avoidance of approximately 1,138 metric tonnes of CO₂ emissions, based on standard grid emission factors.

The majority of our electricity requirements are met through our 1.3 MW rooftop solar power plant, supported by an energy-efficient net-metered system that enables surplus power to be exported to the grid.

The infrastructure at our facilities is optimised for natural lighting and ventilation through features such as translucent roofing, large windows, turbo ventilators, and open-plan layouts, significantly reducing energy consumption and supporting sustainable operations.

To promote biodiversity across our Peenya and Sompura campuses, we have cultivated over 6,052 trees and more than 156 species of plants, including flowering, fruit-bearing, medicinal, ornamental, and native varieties.

Our Peenya and Sompura facilities are designed as IGBC Platinum-rated green buildings, ensuring minimal environmental impact.

Focus on product stewardship

Product stewardship drives our climate action by enabling low-carbon and energy-efficient solutions
Our R&D focusses on technologies such as waste heat recovery, biomass, and waste-to-energy systems, promoting resource efficiency and reduced emissions
Through innovations in power generation, energy storage, and CO₂-based energy-efficient systems, we support cleaner energy adoption and industrial decarbonisation, helping our customers transition towards a more sustainable future

Emphasis on water efficiency

Total water consumption in FY 26 stood at 85,611.54 kilolitres, reflecting an approximate 3.4% reduction compared to FY 25
Groundwater remained the primary source at 81,340.3 kilolitres, showing a ~3.2% decrease, while dependence on third-party water reduced by ~11.2%, indicating improved resource management
Introduction of rainwater storage (186.3 kilolitres) marks a positive step towards sustainable water sourcing
Water efficiency has improved significantly, with water intensity per rupee of turnover reducing by ~20%, and PPP-adjusted water intensity improving by ~14.7%, demonstrating more efficient water use relative to business growth
We have installed 13 engineered rainwater soak wells across the facility to capture and recharge rainwater efficiently

Promotion of circular economy and waste management

Total waste generation reached 522.33 metric tonnes in FY 26, in line with expanded operational activity
We successfully redirected the vast majority of waste back into productive use – with 498.73 metric tonnes (~95%) recycled and 4.66 metric tonnes reused
Zero waste was sent to landfill in FY 26, marking a key milestone in our journey towards responsible waste management
In line with our commitment to responsible consumption, we have eliminated single-use plastic and paper cups across all conference rooms, transitioning entirely to reusable alternatives

Promoting responsible sourcing

We actively promote responsible sourcing and ethical supply chain practices, and remain closely engaged with our suppliers.

Robust supplier/vendor Code of Conduct, including ESG criteria, is required to be followed and adhered to by all new suppliers
Sustainable sourcing is ensured by mandating ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System) and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety Management System) certifications
In FY 26, we supported 70% of value chain partners with training on critical topics like operational, health and safety (OHS), pollution control, wages, and ethical practices

In FY 26, we positively impacted 77,000 beneficiaries through targeted CSR programmes reinforcing our commitment to community development and social responsibility.

Education & Skill Development: Supported education, infrastructure, skill development and technology initiatives for children and students, including advanced learning in emerging technologies. Supported the enhancement of centralised kitchen of Akshaya Patra Foundation in Hyderabad.
Technology & Innovation: Strengthened research and innovation through collaboration with leading institutions to promote technological advancement, sustainability, and future-ready solutions.
Healthcare: Enhanced access to quality healthcare through developmental therapy programmes for children and infrastructure improvements at charitable and government hospitals.
Environmental Sustainability: Partnered with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) for development of tools for technology-driven water conservation initiatives.
Rural Sports Development: Promoted football by providing sports equipment, basic infrastructure, coaching, and training opportunities for children and youth in rural areas.
