Engineering Excellence Proven in the Field
60 MW Backpressure STG Package for a Major Middle East Oil & Gas Project
TTL successfully designed, manufactured, and shop-tested a 60 MW Backpressure Steam Turbine Generator package for a major Middle East Oil & Gas project, meeting stringent API 612 and client requirements. A key differentiator was the full-train factory validation of the turbine, gearbox, generator, and dynamometer, replicating actual operating conditions. Advanced rotordynamic analysis, customised test facilities, and precision alignment enabled stable operation with shaft vibration maintained below 20 microns.
Supply of 344 MW Turbine Rotors for a European Customer
TTL is executing a prestigious project for a European customer involving the re-engineering, manufacture, and supply of high-, intermediate- and low-pressure rotors for a 344 MW three-cylinder reheat turbine. Leveraging advanced 3D scanning on-site and automated multi-head welding technology, TTL is producing large welded rotors, including a 66-tonne dual-flow LP rotor.
Supply of 210 MW Turbine Rotor Parts for the Oldest Nuclear Power Plant in Asia
TTL successfully executed the re-engineering, manufacture, supply, installation, and commissioning of high pressure turbine rotor components, including bladed discs for 2x210 MW nuclear power units. Despite stringent nuclear contamination restrictions that required critical activities such as 3D scanning, disassembly, assembly, and balancing to be performed on-site, both units were commissioned successfully in February 2026 and have been operating reliably since.
Advancing India’s First CO2-Based Energy Storage Project
During FY 26, we made significant progress in executing India’s first 160 MWh CO2 (Carbon Dioxide)-based long-duration energy storage system (LDESS) project at National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) Kudgi, Karnataka, with our technology partner Energy Dome.
The project has entered advanced construction and implementation, marking an important milestone in India’s energy transition and LDESS landscape. The project involves indigenous manufacturing of specialised CO2 turbines by TTL, the core of the power block, leveraging its turbomachinery design and manufacturing expertise.
Once operational, the system will deliver long-duration, grid-scale energy storage (>25-year lifespan), without relying on critical minerals like lithium.
Innovative Approach Towards Model LP Test Turbine
TTL successfully completed an advanced validation study of a model low-pressure steam turbine in collaboration with a leading German University’s test facility. The activity generated valuable test data under realistic operating conditions and confirmed that the turbine’s actual performance closely matched design predictions.
